I'm curious what is going on in this 'General Discussion Forum'?

One of the most important contests in the 2010 election is at hand and there is literally nil posted here about it. Complacency is rampant in the 'Democratic Underground' it appears.

This mid-term election there is a chance to unseat the 'General' of the Republican party in the House of Representatives. The election is for the 8th District of Ohio.

The Democratic Candidate is Justin Coussoule and he is running to unseat John (Wannabe Golfpro)Boehner.

Yes and who's sueing GMAC and the house that was unfortunately allowed to burn in TN because of a lack of fee payment etc etc yet one of the 'most important contests' in the midterm elections goes unnoticed even by the members of DU.

This is what is wrong in America.

If you can just look down life's road a ways and see where you will be at age 65. Do you want persons like John Boehner making legislation that will affect you in your 'Senior Years'?

Americans age 50+ are not finding jobs to replace those that were outsourced by corporations that are encouraged by legislation allowing for the migration of jobs out of the USA to save $0.03/widget. Republicans are screaming that a 3% increase in taxes for those earning more that $250K back to the Clinton years is a tax raise and liken it to raising the taxes on a person in poverty who might win the lotto (odds of winning are billions :1 ). Saving Small Business sounds good but do you even know what the definition of a 'Small Business' is or are even willing to take the time to look it up? Oh let's help the 'Small Business' owner.. ya know Mom n Pop's grocery on the neighborhood corner.

I guess what I'm talking about is the lack of commitment I see here. Utter wasting of band width by most if not a large large majority of posers here.
