Help! My country is burning down.

We’ve all heard about the firefighters who stood by and watched a house burn down because the owner didn’t pay up.

Right now, our country is burning down because giant corporations and billionaires who own the government, the media, and all the rest of us, don't yet own EVERYTHING.

Today's Republicans are trying to buy (or perhaps steal) every election taking place this year. And if they win the house and senate, the rest of us will be dwelling in a burned down house.

I have very little faith left in the Democratic Party. They’re wimps and they suck. But at least they're not trying to destroy us.

So here’s the bottom line. No matter how pissed off you are at the Dems, get out and vote next month. Yeah, I know about the lesser of two evils crap. But if you stay home, we will all be screwed beyond repair.

And if you thought the Bush/Cheney years were a nightmare, it can get a whole lot worse if the Republican thugs come to power once again.

Does anyone here really believe we'll be better off with a Republican controlled congress?

1. You really don't think they're trying to destroy us?

Battered wives know when their husband is calling them names and trying to isolate them and insulting them, that they are being destroyed emotionally.... the physical destruction is then completed rather easily afterwards.

2. We keep giving bad Dems a pass and they keep getting worse.

The difference between the Ds and the Rs is measured in years.

As in, "How many years before the Dems in DC are exactly as bad as the current pukes?"

It's not much of a gap anymore.

IOW: If we don't clean out either party, then America WILL become its own worst nightmare. It's just a question of how long it takes.
