The repukes want a mafia protection plan type of government...
We saw an example of this in TN when that house was left to burn. It's a protection racket. The repukes are the mob who extort money.

This is the government the repukes (tea party types) want.

1. The town voted in taxes to pay for a community supported FD.
The county, which is another state entirely, voted not to have a fire department.

Why is this so difficult to understand?

This is their tea party vision.

5. The fire department does not come from Obion county..
Indeed, it's from a different state..

6. Regardless of where it came from...this is what the repukes want...
Low taxes, limited government, citizens to pay protection money for services normally covered by taxes.

They want to stop food stamps, medicare, medicaid, social security, and more. Public services normally paid for by taxes...the repukes want it to be strictly voluntary...like this. That way if someone forgets to pay, such as this man did, their house will burn, their car will be stolen, their health will worsen, etc.

Glenn Beck and Sharon Angle would agree.

7. But you are blaming the FD...
It was not the choice of the town which financed the FD to make it fee for services, it was the choice of the county which has no damn fire department because they have voted it down for twenty years..

I think everyone here on DU knows that's what Republicans want but that is not the way the town of Fulton KY does it, it's the way the county of Obion TN does it.
