The problem with stupid people in America....
Is the fact that they're extremely proud to brandish their own stupidity as an inalienable right.

No wonder that "The Facepalm" is such a common pastime these days.

7. A perfect storm.
It's not as if they invented it, an oxymoron if there ever was one, but it seems to be coming from so many directions and converging on a narrow group. From fundamentalism, from consumer culture, from stress and bigotry, from science they can't keep up with, so many sources, blend well and top it off with a rewriting of their history and their "science".

Tack on a sign that says "Dumb and Proud of It" and it might as well read on the reverse "No Exit". Or would that be "dum and prowd"?
