Nobody is perfect...
Edited on Fri Oct-08-10 06:40 PM by kentuck
We all have said things that we have later regretted. We have done things that we regret. That does not make someone a bad person. It does not make someone a good person either.

When someone consistently says bad things, such as racist remarks, then we have to question their intent and what is in their hearts? If they do things that are hurtful to others as a habit, then they are not a good person.

When we are criticizing politicians, newsmen, or one another, I think that it is important to remember that no one is perfect and that everyone deserves a second chance sometimes. It would serve us well not to be too judgemental.

Just my .02 cents.

1. You must be reading my mind. I just saw a pic of Rick Sanchez
over at HuffPo and I swear he's lost at least ten pounds, perhaps more. I think he's paid his dues, he is not perfect but that does not make him a bad person. Goofy at times but he came up with a real apology and Stewart was satisfied. I hope this gaffe of his will find him in a better place down the road. I like your post and have added another .02..

Besides, that's not a qualification for high office, despite the abysmal exception that preceded the current incumbent.

4. But consider the widow's mite.
Two hundredths of a cent is still something, ya know...

You get a hundred of them, and you've got a couple of pennies. With that, you could buy...erm...uh...oh, never mind.
