Is it the US Chamber of Commerce or is it the International Chamber of Commerce?
If it is the US Chamber of Commerce, why is it taking money from business people in other countries? Even if it is only "membership" fees, why are they members?

There's another problem when the Chamber of Commerce is so entertwined with the businesses of other countries. The primary problem being that businesses will look for the cheapest labor and the highest profits. That's why they are called "businesses".

When the US Chamber of Commerce is in Russia, China, India, Bahrain, and other countries around the world, and is taking money from these folks, and just coincidentally happens to be the biggest contributor in this election cycle, people have a responsibility to raise questions.

Something stinks in Denmark.

2. The President of the Chamber of Commerce has publicly admitted...
...he favors moving jobs overseas. They are not friends of the working people of this country.

3. It's both.
Something has been stinking in Denmark for awhile now. Senior executives routinely put the interests of their multinational corporations ahead of their nations' interests, but we still fail to understand that there is really no such thing as a US corporation that does international business.

4. the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO forces
In March 2007, O'Dwyer's PR Daily reported that General James L. Jones, formerly the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO forces in Europe, had joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a lobbyist.<40>
"Jones will head the Institute for Energy, which is to present itself as a grassroots organization. The Chamber went a similar path with the creation of the Institute for Legal Reform." Jones will focus on global warming and seek "to 'unify energy stakeholders behind a common strategy' to produce affordable and secure supplies

6. It's just Capitalism...

sometimes they are nationalists, sometimes they are internationalists, where ever their best advantage lay. They are currently internationalists but that could change, as exporting one's way out of the red ink seems to be the favored method how long can it be before national tensions rise as competition between exporters and overprodution bring on crisis again?
