Going to vote in November? You might want to seeare going this:
Project Vote Smart has what they call a Political Courage Test,
defined as:
"The Courage Test Measures each candidate’s willingness to provide citizens with their positions on key issues.
Most candidates, fearing their opponents might use their positions in attack ads, refuse or only respond to a few questions that their consultants stamp as safe.
Each candidate is repeatedly confronted with these issue questions by Vote Smart, national media and political leaders of both major parties."

This page will link you to the candidates in YOUR state. VERY informative and enlightening.
Plus, it gives contact addresses so you can ask your candidate to answer the Test questions, or find out what they have answered.
Other pages at Project Vote Smart give you contribution information, lots of info. on each candidate.

( I am not at all affiliated with this organization, I do send them small donations from time to time because I think they are worth keeping around)

2. I emailed our Dem candidate for Gov. and asked why he had not answered the questions.
Should be interesting if I get a reply.
His web site has NO party affiliation on it!

3. Well, being a Democrat in Alabama must be like
being a cat at an American Kennel Club show.
