"Think about that – the people to whom we have handed over responsibility for educating our children are engaged in scapegoating, offering bread-and-circus diversions while the children under their care see their life chances slipping away."

7. Kick and Recommend.....
This is an important voice that needs to be heard.

More and more people are speaking up about the unabashed attacks on the teaching profession, laying all the blame on the teachers and totally gloss over the rape of school funding by conservative ideologues who only want to get public money for their religious schools.

9. Kick and Rec. Truth that should matter.
If bush were trying what the administration is trying, DU would be up in arms. 100% of the members would be willing to march on Washington to stop this travesty. How are some Democrats different than republicans that supported bush when he ran up deficits, invaded privacy, and started wars for nation building. We need more thinking Democrats.

11. I have learned a lot about our party in the last 6 months
Not all of it good.

I have this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that just won't go away.

My enthusiasm is gone. And it's not just education. Health care, DADT, Gittmo. Any of these issues would have DUers up in arms if a republican was in the WH.

14. We thought having a rock star candidate
might help. All it did is bring the American Idol fans out in droves. It is sickening to see the lack of a moral or principled center here.
