Michelle Bachmann calls Tarryl Clark ad "profanity-laced"

Bachman just sent out a frantic e-mail message to her followers, trying to raise $150K by Friday to respond to Tarryl Clark's ad which says "(Michelle Bachman is) Not doing $#!% for the people of the 6th District"...

The letter from Bachman's husband reads in part "Each week, liberals who want to defeat my wife stoop to a new low. You may remember this summer when left-wing activists littered Minnesota with posters advertising a concert called "F*** Michele Bachmann." Before that, Playboy magazine had to pull an explicit and repulsive article about conservative women, including my wife..."

"I had hoped Michele's opponent, Tarryl Clark, would be above this type of behavior. But I am sad to report that she has just released a 30-second attack ad that uses a false, profanity-laced attack against my wife. This attack ad literally uses symbols to indicate profanity against Michele -- something I have never seen before in a campaign advertisement."

Note the attempt to tie Clark to the concert posters and Playboy article... also it's misleading in that it claims the ad is "profanity-laced" when there is one suggested "swear word" that is not directed at Bachmann. Clearly, he's trying to lead the reader to think the ad is far worse than it is, and that it's echoing the "F*** Michele Bachmann" posters.

Is Michele too delicate to fight her own battles? Or does strong language, even fourth- or fifth-hand, embarrass her so much that she has to send out the mister to talk about it?

Please Lord, let 2010 be the end of this horrible woman's political career. I know the good people of Minnesota are so much better than this, and they deserve competent representation.

5. Well, her husband sent a fundraiser last week

Michele just forwarded it to more people. Not sure why I'm on the list -- maybe I joined for the comedy material. She says they're $26K short, which means they raised $134K in under a week from the first letter.

Also, upon a little further reading, it's not even clear if the "profanity laced" ad is even running on TV, or if it's just a YouTube hit.

I'd guess if it's not an ad on broadcast TV or radio, they don't have to make that statement. Which would underscore that it's NOT even on TV, yet Michele needs to soak her supporters for $160K to "fight back" against it.

The rather amateur production values makes me think it's web only as well.
