Lisa Murkowski polling 33% as write in candidate in Alaska.
In other polling:

Alaska: Surprise Republican nominee Joe Miller holds a statistically-insignificant 35 percent to 33 percent over Lisa Murkowski, who is running as a write-in candidate after losing the GOP Senate primary. Democrat Scott McAdams gets 26 percent and 4 percent are undecided. In this poll, voters were asked to choose among Miller, McAdams and "someone else," and that result was a tie at 35 percent each between Miller and "someone else," with McAdams at 26 percent. When the poll asked voters to identify who they had in mind as someone else, 95 percent chose Murkowski, 3 percent opted for one of two other candidates and 2 percent said they would write in a choice other than those. That was then factored into the composite 35 percent to 33 percent result between Miller and Murkowski. (Daily Kos/Public Policy Polling, Oct. 9-10).

1. Anything can happen in this race.
This is a wild card since we don't know how much Murkowski will be hurt by not being on the ballot. It's good to see McAdams in striking distance.

2. This poll was done prior to Miller's meltdown yesterday.

My guess is if this poll were taken today, the results would be much different. I see Lisa picking up a lot of Republican votes which otherwise would have gone to Miller, and I see McAdams picking up Democratic/moderate votes that otherwise would have gone to Murkowski. Murkowski's people were playing the fear card -- write in Lisa so Joe doesn't win -- but with Joe somewhat neutralized, Dems/moderates are more free to vote their consciences. McAdams is campaigning hard, and people seem to be quite impressed with his common sense.

I attended the senatorial debate yesterday at the COC luncheon. Scott did very well, Lisa tried to act like a couple of Democrats in the Senate were her best friends (yeah, right), and Joe elicited audible groans when he stated that Jim DeMint was the current senator he most admired.

Anything is possible here.

4. How interesting!
I would LOVE to see Scott win (and have thrown a couple of bucks his way from CA!) but even Murkowski winning would kind of be a nice kick in the groin for the teabaggers. They're so full of themselves for getting these nuts in there, would love to see them all crash & burn and am happy that for the most part that seems to be happening.

3. It's funny to see the Freepers doubt that Republicans can
actually learn to write that name given one month's time to learn! LOL!
