I am officially pissed off.
I am sick of teabaggers and all people with amnesia/myopia over the past decade. I cannot stand the apathy of those of us who will not work to prevent those f'ing a'holes from taking control. I am sick of reading the bullshit tripe from Facebook "friends" from the past who regurgitate Faux News crap. I cannot stand that my parents are teabaggers. Can somebody tell me what the Tea Baggers stand for? Look, I am not satisfied personally with the current status and the glacial pace of reform. Unfortunately, that is reality. WAKE THE HELL UP! This country will be thrown backwards into the Dark Ages. We may lose seats, but I will vote and I will tell anyone with my last breathe that we are starting to be in a better place now than before. LOOK AT THE ALTERNATIVE! If you don't care, you will get the government you deserve. Snap out of the malaise and realize the consequences of inaction.

5. Good rant!
I am afraid we do get the government we deserve. Americans seem to have turned into kids waiting for the tooth fairy to arrive.

6. Welcome to DU, EMAN51!
:hi:

We've been in the Twilight Zone ever since the election was stolen from Al Gore in 2000.

9. Thanks for the welcome, but I've been here a long time.
I have been on for a number of years, but disheartened over the last 2. I was approached today by a young blonde girl outside a Walmart who wanted me to sign a petition against "Obama Health Care". I asked what was objectionable and the response was a vacuous unknowing stare. I told her I was for it and wanted it to go far beyond to a single payer system like the rest of the western world. No response. I let her be, but a few gray-haireds decided it was a good thing to put their name to. Embarassing.

10. Misinformation in regard to our government should be against the law.
It's false advertising & to blame for what you went through today. That people would actually vote for insurance companies' interest instead of their own is strictly Twilight Zone material.

8. The assholes are in charge.
It's the job of the Fux Ministry of Propaganda to keep it that way.

13. Welcome EMAN51 and ....
..remember, the ONLY thing that matters at this point is getting voters to the polls on November 2nd.

You can help do that.

Volunteer down at Democratic HQ. They need people to make phone calls, knock on doors, compile lists of local events, do data entry, etc.

Help others get their early ballots in case they can't get out on election day.

Get a yard sign.

Talk to your cousin/nephew/aunt etc.

We need to focus on this or the next two years of DU will be not about how to improve the country, but about limiting damage.

thanks,

Scuba

15. Are you asking us to tell you what the tea baggers stand for?
LOL, we are all at a loss on that one. I propose that you ask those friends on FB and your parents. Hey, when you get answers, we all are wondering. And when you ask, be sure to find out why they just got mad the day Obama was sworn in.
