VOTE VETS issuing ads!

Political season is coming to a nail-biting end, but we weren’t going to sit on the sidelines without telling people who is with our troops and veterans, and who is against them. So, today, we’re launching over a million dollars in ads, three today and another one coming tomorrow. But, to close out the year strong, we need your help.


In Pennsylvania, we’re launching two hard-hitting ads, critical of Senate candidate Pat Toomey and House Candidate Mike Fitzpatrick, for the votes they took, while in Congress, against our troops and veterans.
In the Toomey ad, three Afghanistan veterans take him to task for his vote against a $1500 combat bonus for veterans, while supporting the idea that Wall Street execs should keep every penny of their bonuses. To me, this might be the strongest ad that we’ve run yet this year. In another stellar spot, an Iraq war veteran tells voters about Mike Fitzpatrick’s vote against letting families of the fallen collect their rightful survivor benefits.


Why’s this important? Because Toomey and Fitzpatrick are challenging Joe Sestak and Patrick Murphy, two of the finest veterans we have in public life. If they lose, veterans lose. It’s that simple.
In another moving spot, a veteran from Nevada narrates an ad that talks about the challenges Senator Harry Reid has overcome in life, including his fight to make sure veterans get the respect, dignity, and help they deserve. Harry Reid has always been there for us, and today, we’re there for him.
