Some days it's just hard to stay positive.
I wonder how the media would report it if there were a dozen former escapees from a federal prison running for public office? There seems to be no line that is unacceptable for Republican candidates. Make no mistake, Democrats have had their share of nuts running for office in the past. But never in abundance like the Republicans this time.
"People say they have done their time" and they have as much right to run as any other citizen, they might say? It doesn't matter if they were thieves and murderers. Not to say that the present bunch of Republicans are thieves and murderers, but on a relative historical scale, they would be far below the average candidates for public office.
I know that blaming the media does not work. Basically, it gets down to the American people. They are not divided between wise and foolish, or smart and dumb, or rich and poor, or educated and uneducated, they are divided between Democrats and Republicans and never the twain shall meet.
It is depressing to even think of returning to the days of George W Bush and Republican policies. I refuse to accept such governance, even if the people vote for it. I do not accept the legitimacy of voters that are so reckless and dangerous to our country. I will not be a party to such hatred, racism, and disdain for those Americans that are trying to do what is right for America. I cannot support a government of the rich, by the rich, and for the rich.
I will not support a government that returns to the policies of George W Bush and the Republicans of the last 10 years. I will not denounce my citizenship but I will not submit to their ignorance and destructive ideas. In my opinion, the Republicans are enemies of the people and we must stand up against them. I will not support politicians that say, "they won the election and they deserve to govern the way they want". No. They have no legitimacy in my eyes.
