Talk of Impeachment?
It didn't matter what he did, this was going to happen no matter what Obama did. He could have done so much more..........

1. There was talk like that from day one...
What grounds are being discussed?

He sure as hell could have done a lot more... if he'd had a little help.

2. How could he have done more? Come on. I want hard examples of executive branch
decrees that could have solved all our problems without the need for a filibuster proof Congress or a Supreme Court that follows the law. Something besides "Prosecute Bush era officials" which might have made us feel all smug and satisfied but which would not have put food on any umemployed man's table.

4. And it would have taken up all his time...
The GOTP would have made sure of that... they would have welcomed the opportunity to tie his hands in legal battles for his entire first term.

8. to distract their voters from the fact they aren't passing bills to help them
It worked under Clinton. People were glued to blow jobs, but missed the whole fact the Republican Congress basically passed none of their promised programs, but did pass a lot of terrible "pro-business" ideas.

Granted impeaching the president because it's a distraction is poor grounds for impeachment, but it's worked before :)
