How can we know how many Democratic leaning voters will actually show?
We have about 10,000,000 voters that put Obama over the top.

We have about 1,000,000 purists who will NOT show up because Obama didn't fix everything in 21 months.

We have about another 5,000,000 Americans who were NOT out of work on Jan 20,2009.

How do we get the 18-25 year olds to vote?

How do we get the disillusioned people like me, who thought Obama would act like Reagan, from a liberal standpoint, and shove the conservatives into nowhere land, like Reagan did for the liberals?

Will my gay rights friends bother to vote? Probably 2/3rds of them will NOT, because Obama has not put an issue on the ballot like Rove did in 2004.

Will my minority race member friends go out and vote? Probably only 50% of them, the rest have given up that Obama really had a plan for citizenship for their parents who came here during and after Reagan.

Will just plain white middle class voters bother to show up? Not if they live in "SAFE" districts and states.

Who will show up and vote? Tea Party idiots who don't know history, can't figure out how the courts work, had $50 stolen from their purse 2 years ago and hate criminals of color.

Talk me down. Who will vote this time? Are you working to make sure they DO vote?

1. Are you?
If you are, then you know where the voters are coming from. And I kind of doubt you'd post crap like this that does nothing but pour a big bucket of slop on your own hard work.

3. I am sure you meant to insult me, but if you had a real point, please do
make it more obvious than simple insults.

Working for a candidate that is destined to lose is not the way I see the DU people supporting me.

If you have any ideas as to how to get out the vote for minorities, 18-25 year olds, people that still think Obama/Biden is better than Palin and the Nazi Christo-fascist McCain, tell me.

6. I'm voting.
And I'm not aware of any friend who isn't. Obama isn't on the ballot. We have important congressional votes to cast, and important state and local elections as well. All of my election-related conversations have been about the state and local races. I certainly have not heard anyone suggest letting the teabaggers win because they're mad at Obama, and a good 1/3 of my friends are gay.

Punishing Obama with a teabagger victory is like shooting yourself in the foot because you don't want to give someone a ride to work.

12. "purists who will NOT show up because Obama didn't fix

Using "purist" as a derogatory term for people who actual uphold principles is distasteful and not worthy of respect, to say the least.

While I don't have the answers to your question, I do know this: You don't influence people to vote with put-downs or bullying. Something the Obama administration doesn't "get."

Do you?
