They ought to file a suit against the mining company since there was quite a history of negligence, but I imagine these guys will get help from multiple sources.

We couldn't get home and other employees couldn't make it in to work so management asked us to just stay on the clock and keep working. The first 8 hours was straight time. The next 16 hours were overtime. Then when our regular shift began again the following day we went back to straight time for the first 8 hours because it was our regular shift even though we never punched out.
Thats the way our contract was written.
I never got snowed in again. After that at the first hint of a blizzard and I told management I was going home.
