HUH? POLL: Voters more likely to see Democrats as dominated by extremists
:wtf: Were the people polled all baggers?

POLL: Voters more likely to see Democrats as dominated by extremists
By Alexander Bolton - 10/14/10 06:00 AM ET

Likely voters in battleground districts see extremists as having a more dominant influence over the Democratic Party than they do over the GOP.

This result comes from The Hill 2010 Midterm Election Poll, which found that 44 percent of likely voters say the Democratic Party is more dominated by its extreme elements, whereas 37 percent say it’s the Republican Party that is more dominated by extremists.

The revelations in a survey of 10 toss-up congressional districts across the country point to problems for Democrats, who are trying to motivate a disillusioned base and appeal to independents moving to the GOP ahead of the Nov. 2 election.

The polling firm Penn, Schoen and Berland conducted the survey, contacting 4,047 likely voters by phone between Oct. 2 and Oct. 7. The margin of error for this sample is 1.5 percent.

2. There is some truth to that.
The DLC and Blue Dogs ARE extremists, and they have way too much influence in the current Democratic party.

4. "likely voters". As determined by Doug Schoen? I'm guessing that means the tilt is very Republican.
Of course they then are more likely to claim the Democrats are dominated by extremist.
Hell, half of the likely voters who are Republicans are extremists. They just don't realize it.

5. "Likely voters" in 10 toss-up congressional districts.!!

Given that pollsters have decided that likely voters are more likely to be tea party people than Democrats, it may explain the results.

and considering the constant venom spewed by Corporate Media (FUX in particular), I'm surprised it's not higher.

11. This makes sense because Democrats are afraid to attack!
Republicans are willing to attack Democrats and lie about them and convince voters that Democrats are evil and extreme. Democrats want to be nice and focus on the issues. That is usually a sure way to lose, but most Democrats are too cowardly to fight the way that campaigns need to be fought.

How many chances did Democrats pass on to show and tell America how extreme Bush was?

Most Democrats are still respectful to Thomas, Roberts, and Scalia, even though they have been proven to be political extremists. Republicans are not respectful to the more fair minded members of the court, so most American think the court is too liberal.

If you want to blame anyone for this, blame weak Democratic strategy and wimpy Democratic politicians for the last 15 years.
