who wants to influence American Politics....

The BAGGERS are TOOLS of the mega rich...

Is therapy needed?

Is there buyers remorse?

Guilt?

The poor things....the smarter ones will flee this nest of mess and seek rehab

they don't have a problem with rich people funding "peoples' movements".

unless they're left-leaning movements.

2. Right, this is dictated by their world view.
Which has been programmed into these clueless fools by the very likes of said Koch brothers. They wouldn't believe it if Saint Ronnie himself trickled down in a fiery chariot to deliver this truth, engraved on stone tablets.

5. Fear mostly
Psychologists call it the terror management theory (TMT). Fearful people are drawn to conservative thinking because they find comfort in what is familiar, but also due to the relative simplicity that the ideology offers: Us vs. them, good vs. evil, right vs. wrong, white hats vs. black hats. The absence of sophistication and nuance frees these folks from the discomfort of thinking beyond their base instincts.

In other words, right wingers are stupid cowards.
