1. Pretty backhanded endorsement from the 'left wing' Post.

Suffice to say the Post will be happy to have Bennett as Senator as long as he doesn't do anything remotely progressive.

As long as he sticks to busting teacher's unions, supporting Free Trade agreements, reducing 'out of control' government spending, giving amnesty to illegal aliens, and supporting anything else corporate America wants, he'll be fine in their eyes. And frankly, that's exactly what he'll probably do for the next 6 years.

There are a few progressives running this year in CO, but none at the top of the tickets. I may vote a straight ticket D except for Senator and Governor, but I'm going to have a very hard time voting for Bennett or Hickenlooper.

2. I'll have no trouble voting for Bennet and Hickenlooper

I'll be voting the straight Democratic ticket in Colorado, and my wife plans to do the same.

I've been voting for decades now, and very often - usually, I'd say - I have to choose the lesser of two evils in many cases. Which is to say, a Democrat who mouths conservative platitudes that set my teeth on edge over a Republican who's even worse. That's the case with the governor and senate races in Colorado this year. I wish I had a better choice, but I have no trouble voting for the distasteful Democrat over the repulsive Republican.

Maybe I should convert that into a bumper sticker: Better a Distasteful Dem than a Repulsive Rep!
