Personally, not ever getting married is the best decision I made not only for myself, but also for whatever unsuspecting female I would have dragged into it.

My husband and I celebrated our 44th today. We've always been strong liberals and a strong union family. There is no excuse for preventing any two people who love each other from marrying.

That's 28 legal...almost 34 years together. We're also lifelong progressives and have always been the best of friends. My wish to any couple getting married is that their lives should be as happy as ours. Congrats on making it to your Silver...an accomplishment in this day and age. Cheers...

30. As long as the 25 years were loving ones then congratulations
I've known too many couples who stayed together out of inertia and just kind of calcified into rigidity and routine, acting out more out of habit then anything else.

34. Get back to us when you've lived ALL of your life together
:) We're clocking 32 years on November 2. It only feels like a lifetime. We started out "undecided", went to fundamentalist hard-core right-wing rabid Republican then regained our sanity and are now atheist hard-left liberals. Thankfully we had no children so they didn't have to wonder what the hell their parents were up to.

Did he say that you aged him? That's what my husband says. I haven't even gone gray, and he went gray in his thirties (and lost his hair).
