They have no college degrees nor familial pull. Perhaps they drive a big rig or twist pipe on an offshore rig.

But the universal tie is that if they make a mistake the penalty is injury or death.

They make a good living earned by hard work and risk.

Then a frat boy in a job paying more while needing less crosses the line and faces legal consequences and is not prosecuted or jailed because although the actions were "technically" illegal a prosecutor says the actions were not "flagrant" or "overt".

They will say that being charged is embarrassment enough and imply that merely being named is punishment enough. And never mention the two tiers of justice.

But I've been cuffed and jailed and I disagree.
