Eric Holder To Prosecute Distribution, Possession If Prop. 19 Passes

SAN FRANCISCO — Attorney General Eric Holder is warning that the federal government will not look the other way, as it has with medical marijuana, if voters next month make California the first state to legalize pot.

Marijuana is illegal under federal law, which drug agents will "vigorously enforce" against anyone carrying, growing or selling it, Holder said.

The comments in a letter to ex-federal drug enforcement chiefs were the attorney general's most direct statement yet against Proposition 19 and set up another showdown with California over marijuana if the measure passes.

With Prop 19 leading in the polls, the letter also raised questions about the extent to which federal drug agents would go into communities across the state to catch small-time users and dealers, or whether they even had the resources to do it.

1. I guess they theoretically could do that
Their agents and prosecutors sure as hell aren't lifting a finger to enforce laws against war crimes and corporate fraud.

They might as well do something to earn their pay. And busting a kid for having an ounce of weed is an excellent use of federal resources.

2. Isn't it odd with all the illegal activities of the republican
part fund raising scams, that Holder has time to run around looking for pot smokers. I told you when they dropped the suit against Rove and et al for the firing of those attorney's that Holder is a wimpy butt AG. He lacks the guts to go after any body.

4. So instead of going after the people that ruined our economy
AG Shithead is going to campuses around the country to bust those wacky college kids and their parties! Sounds about right, the Feds can only play kiddy games. Real criminals like George Bush and Dick Cheney aren't even on the list.

Kill millions and cost your country trillions in debt = Feds no touchy.

Light up a dube = BAD BAD BAD, must fill corporate prison with all these DFH!
