I think the teabaggers will, in fact, make some electoral gains.
The House is like the political Wild West. Gerrymandered districts are chock full of right wing nuts who will gleefully vote for people far nutter than they are. There are many cases where repubicans were defeated in the primaries by these kooks. The smaller the primary turnouts, the greater the likelihood these tricorner hat dumdums got the nomination.

Fortunately for us, we can tolerate a few of these nutters to no greater affect than comedy fodder. Louie Gohmert, Virginia Fox, and Michelle Bachmann come quickly to mind.

I think it is entirely possible that 10 or more teanutters will make it through to be seated with the next Congress. They will discredit the "movement. I think they'll prove to be anomalous.

1. GOP needs to be careful about what they wish for.
These nutcases will be ridiculed every day should they be elected. The craziness has just begun. And should the teabaggers even PERCEIVE that they are not getting what they want, the death threats will begin again.

2. Wondering about the census
My concern is that there are going to be new districts created because of the census and, unfortunately, they are not in blue states.

of Raygun's fake populism.

It's just surprising that it took this long for them to get this far.
