I talked to my sister in Iowa yesterday, she's not too politically aware but
she voted for Obama, (she voted for Bush, too, doesn't like Eastern elite liberals, like Kennedy and Kerry)

So she gets all those email and phone robot messages from Right Wingers and Tea Party people in Iowa and elsewhere.

So, she is the kind of voter they all want to appeal to, someone who voted for Bush, and for Obama, and wants everyone to have a good job and a happy life.

So I was rather amazed when she said to me, "all these problems were caused by Bush!!!! What do all these Republicans want, miracles?"

She's a typical Bush/Obama voter. She knows what caused this horrible mess, and knows how we need to stick with Democrats to get us out of this.

My sister is typical of a non-college grad white middle class American retired woman. She knows the score. No one fools her.(Well, Bush did, but never again!).

and she feels they also feel like she does.

So the 70+ crowd doesn't get polled, doesn't do politics, but votes for Dems without getting all up and in the news.

They also don't get polled, don't get assaulted with TV cameras, (they are not photogenic!)

They just live their lives in small Iowa towns, go to church on Sundays, eat beef and vegetables, go out to eat once a month, etc.
