Good Grief! I just saw an ad on my TV that said Obama and
Pelosi are "tax and spend liberals" "who brought Florida to its knees." Accordingly, people should vote "No" on Amendments 5 and 6!!!

"Amendments 5 and 6 to the Florida Constitution would require the state Legislature to create compact districts that try to keep cities and counties intact and are not drawn to favor incumbents or political parties. The amendments also would add language to the state Constitution that districts should not be drawn to deny minorities the opportunity to elect candidates of their choice.

Amendment 5 covers state legislative districts, and Amendment 6 covers U.S. congressional districts."

The source is the Gainesville newspaper, or just a simple knowledge of the English language and a ballot.

Logic means nothing to these people. George Bush and his brother "brought Florida to its knees" along with the legislators, state and federal, who get elected from these gerrymandered districts by morons who vote against their own self interest. Then of course there is the 2000 election fiasco...don't get me started.

1. Must have been a Rove or Chamber of Commerce group. There is tons of "outside money" being
spent in my state, That really disgusts me. It is for the state to decide, not a bunch of outside Millionaires

2. One of the most important things that should happen
in the near future is that a law should be implemented (again) "Truth in advertising"! The lies are more outrageous with every commercial.

7. I don't know how much money our State got in stimulus money. A lot. And yet the teabag candidate
for congress keeps putting out ads on how horrible it was that our Dem Rep voted for it. It really helped our state quite a bit.

4. Darn I would love to see all the places where Obama and
Pelosi went and raised taxes. I for one didn't know that a Speaker of the HOuse had the authority to go into a state and make laws. Tax tax tax we know how that goes republicans would love to just do away with all taxes on them and let Democrats pay for the services that they the republicans have. This country would be so much better off if we could outlaw the republican party and the tea bags.

6. Didn't you know - EVERY Democrat is a "tax and spend liberal"

Cracks me up that Meg Witchman is using those sam type of ads against Jerry Brown here in CA, probably the most conservative (cheapest) governor we've ever had. Far more tight fisted than the sainted Reagan.

But then Witchman would never know that. When Brown was the governor, she was still living in her wealthy family's home on Long Guyland.

16. Never Mind Reality
Florida's Congressional delegation has 15 Republicans and 10 Democrats.

Florida has higher foreclosures and unemployment than other states. We're worse than other states on funding education too.

Our State House and Senate are each about 2/3 Republican - it's been like that for about 10 years, but Republicans have held a majority for about 15 years. Republicans have held the governor's mansion for 12 years, and currently hold 2/3 of the elected Cabinet posts.

So, if Florida is a mess, which party is to blame?
