I received 4 Republican created campaign lies in the mail
along with my ballot today.

I went into my house, found the Washington republican party website and sent them a blistering email saying I had not seen an honest republican in decades. I told the state republican Party that it was Republican deregulation and lack of oversight on banking, oil and mining that created the disaster they are whining about. I told them they ruined the economy.
I told them they are responsible for the 11 dead in the gulf disaster and the 7 dead at the Tesoro refinery in Anacortes. I ended asking then to stop sending me their propaganda and told them I wouldn't vote for a Republican for dog catcher.

It felt so good to vent. Hell, they sent me something unsolicited, I figured I could return the favor.

2. Neither do I, however
my daughter came to me very upset and said that somehow the GOP got her name and address and are sending her all kinds of mail. She didn't know what to do and came to me for advice.

I told her to throw the stuff in the garbage and come with me to vote (she is a Democrat, thank The Creator). We will go together to vote and we will take her children with us and explain to them how important our votes are (the are 10 and 6 years old).

The GOP flyers will go to the landfill where they belong.

Peace, Annette

3. Mine find their way to the recycle bin pretty quickly.
One exception happened today. Got one slamming Senator Patty Murray from the Americans for Tax Reform. Went to their website and found on their comment page most were people lambasting the groups outlandish claims.

4. My ex has been getting a lot of republican mail here
We've been split for over a year, and she hasn't even been here in months, but she was staying here when she registered to vote in the 2008 presidential race. I presumed she'd registered as a democrat, but may have registered as independent. It's conceivable she registered as a republican just to mess with me... hell, she may have even voted for McCain just to cancel out my vote.

But lately I've been getting a lot of mail for repuke candidates addressed to "The Voldemort Household or current resident" (well, her last name actually). She also updated her state ID using my address, so I guess as far as the state board of elections is concerned, she still lives and votes here. (She's since moved out of state.) Well, to the recycle bin with it... thankfully the "or current resident" part means I can throw it away.

6. I get their emails and I don't understand why
I have never been a republican and never will, but I get emails from the National Republican Committee time after time. I sent back to unsubscribe but they keep coming. I also get that CNS news which I absolutely do not want I have unsubscribed ten times and they keep coming. I don't mind the Republican Committee emails because now I can see what they are telling people to get them to knuckle under but the CNS News is too sickening to even read. I just delete it. And the bad thing is I have called it spam and it has never once been listed as spam or junk. But a lot of the Democratic emails I get go right to the junk folder. I wonder why. I have microsoft mail and I hate it.
