Video of O'Donnell's stunning lack of knowledge of our Constitution.
It really has to be seen to be believed.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miwSljJAzqg&feature=player_embedded#!

The now infamous, "where in the Constitution is the separation of church and state?" comment is around the 2:30 mark, following O'Donnell's "argument" that intelligent design should be taught in public schools. The height of her ignorance regarding the first amendment is displayed around the 6 minute mark (after she massacres a few more amendments).

And let's not forget that Palin's team has been personally preparing O'Donnell for these debates.

Where the hell do these Tea Party people find these candidates?

1. It was painful like watching Curb Your Enthusiasm. But it was real.
The only thing she didn't do was point at the side of her head and make circles with the index finger of one hand while pointing at he debate opponent with the other. Completely clueless and completely shameless.

4. Screw the post graduate seminar. I want to see her grade in middle school civics.
If she ever took and/or passed such a course.

So far the Tea Party has presented us with candidates who have not a clue regarding our Constitution, forward porn e-mails to their friends, dress up like Nazis and make distinctions between Hispanics and "asian-looking" Hispanics. And yet this is presented to us as a viable movement? Holy shit.

3. Palin=O'Donnell=Idiot.
"And let's not forget that Palin's team has been personally preparing O'Donnell for these debates."

With equally successful results!

They are both idiots.

7. slightly more than 3 percent of the total population;
she got all of around 30,500 votes in a state with a population in excess of 885,000. While I don't know the exact number of registered or voting age citizens, over 400,000 voted in Delaware in the 2008 presidential elections, so her 30,500 represents less than 7 percent of those who voted two years ago.

9. She misused the word "theory" like all rightwingers do.
They think "theory" means "not proven". As in "theory of evolution".

As Cenk pointed out on Countdown, Gravity is a theory, so let's see what happens when ya jump out of a tall building, so to speak.

She mentioned the theory of evolution and had it exactly backwards, that they should teach creationism after Mr. Coons pointed out that creationism had been ruled by the courts to be religious instruction.

:banghead: <---me as a person with a B.A. in Biology.

:wtf:

10. I really don't care about which candidates know which amendments. I think the
real story is that she clearly thinks that the first amendment and the constitution in general doesn't call for or imply or require separation of church and state. That's the story with substance, not that under pressure she had to be reminded of the 14th and 16th amendments.

She and others want creationism and other biblical teachings to be taught in schools. Why can't we talk about that instead of being diverted into a debate about memorizing the amendments and whether or not certain phrasing is or is not in the 1st amendment.
