What's your opinion of Congressional junkets?
Does it make any difference to you if the junketeers are going to seemingly exotic resorts in the interest of homeland security on luxurious military jets? Does it make any difference if the junketeers are D or R? Does it make any difference if they are not bipartisan Congressional trips and are in fact just what they are...junkets? Just curious on the opinions.

I don't give a pass to any politician on the use of military jets for junkets unless it is bipartisan and an obviously needed trip. If they had to fly in the same cattle car commercial airlines that we the public use, they'd understand our problems and might not be as enthusiastic at spending our taxes.

2. Thanks...Anderson Cooper CNN just had a sort of expose on it.
Based upon the expose I'm disappointed that some of those involved are Congressmen on our side, although certainly their side has already done the junket thing. That said ... ethical and responsible leadership is set by example. We as Democrats have to set an example, just as the USA must set an example for the world.

3. well...if what we're doing is setting an example..
who gives a fuck about a 'junket'? We are the land of "No Accountability"...a 'junket' doesn't even get you a medal of honor.

LOL...no MOH. But atually it gets bad press and presents a perception of same ole same ole, which is something I'm hoping that is not going to be the case.

6. I've gone over the edge...
usually I'm pretty good about ignoring those that are paid to say what they say, but every now and then it sneaks up on me and I :nuke: I don't even know who's accused of doing what. I suppose I should give a shit?
