Strickland Catches Kasich in Ohio

A new CNN/Time/Opinion Research poll in Ohio finds Gov. Ted Strickland (D) has erased John Kasich's (R) lead and is now in front by one point, 48% to 47%.

Just a month ago, Kasich held a seven point lead in a similar poll.

1. Kasich got the State of Ohio to invest $80 million in Lehman Brothers
Edited on Wed Oct-20-10 05:42 PM by Botany
of State Workers retirement funds when he was being paid over $500,000 year
working for Lehman Brothers ..... he has yet to tell the people of Ohio how much
of a bonus he got for that work.

BTW After Lehman brothers crashed the State of Ohio lost all that money.

*********

But The Columbus Dispatch had Kasich 10 points up in a poll today

GOTV and we win.

3. I saw a lot more Strickland yard signs in Cincinnati last weekend
than Kasich.

Thought it was encouraging.

4. Just Got An E-Mail From My Local Progressive Group
It says that as of a couple weeks ago, Strickland's internal polling (and everyone agrees that internal polling is always infinitely more accurate than any other kind of polling) showed Strickland with a 4-point lead, and momentum to make that lead even bigger.

I know I've been seeing some really devastating ads being run attacking Kasich lately. I was wondering when Strickland was going to start bringing out the big guns. If people in Ohio really knew what Kasich was about, he wouldn't get a single vote. My cousin knows him personally because he worked for him back in the '80s, and he has nothing but horror stories to tell about what a complete evil D-Bag waste of flesh Kasich really is behind closed doors.
