Will Dems have their legal team out there at the polling places like
they did two years ago? As I recall a huge group of lawyers and election people went to various vulnerable polling places to "supervise", etc. Haven't heard much about it this year but I'm thinking since most of these big contests are getting very close, they are definitely a necessity...

1. I don't know
But baggers here are trying to get poll watchers for every polling station.

I worked in 2004 for People for the American Way watching an especially vulnerable polling place.

I hope just one of these bagger fucks tries to talk to me within that 100-foot limit. They are toast.

2. I worry about the ballot boxes, the Diebold affect, the "loss" of Absentee
ballots and all of those other games of theft they like to play..

3. Since 2000
I've had little faith in the security of our votes. I'm alternate judging a precinct this time, and our county uses eSlates. It all depends on the integrity of the people handling the software.

What's great is that my 78% straight puke ticket county never had Democratic election judges before 2002. They were really surprised to see us Dems come out of the woodwork. That's the best I can do--be at a precinct and watch that Republican judge conduct the election and let him or her know when they are screwing up, and I have had to do that. They don't much like it.

5. The DNC is setting up Voter Protection operations in key areas
The DNC is setting up voter protection operations is key states and locations. I worked on both the Kerry Edwards voter protection team in Florida with 3000 out of state attorneys and with the Obama voter protection team in 2008 in Texas. The DNC setting up operations where needed. If any attorneys want to help, you can use this link to apply http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/vprotectionsignup/

The Texas Democratic Party has been busy suing some teabaggers concerning their attempt to suppress the vote. There will be more litigation before this election cycle is over.

I am doing a training class on Saturday for poll watchers for my county.

If you have any questions, send me a PM

8. Just called to help
I live in Fort Bend County but work in Harris County. The Harris County Democrats just called looking for help. The Harris county democrats are having to deal with some crazed tea party types who are sending poll watchers to minority early voting boxes and harrassing voters. The DOJ is involved now.

I am working on getting poll watchers trained for my county and will work with the Harris County Democrats
