Can we have a more dignified "crying emoticon"? The sobbing/rubbing eyes one
seems overdramatic and undignified when I see it.

Does anyone else wish there was some other way of "emoticonning" sadness/tears?

4. I like Sobby
He/she conveys just the right amount of either melodrama or whininess, depending on the context and/or point of view.

5. If you want to be dignified, don't use any emoticons.

6. There's more alternatives.
If none of the DU emoticons seems just right, I go here. Right click, properties, copy address, paste here.

BTW, there are many other websites where smilies can be copied. This is just the one I prefer.

8. I don't think the words "dignified" and "emoticon" can
actually coexist.

10. LOL
I'm sorry, I just had to laugh at this.

An "over dramatic and undignified" EMOTICON?! It's an emoticon.

12. Yikes! Hahaha. Lots of hilarious responses.
Such an uneventful walk to work...

I don't use emoticons at all; I posted based on how I felt about others. But, yeah, silly concern. The recent spate of suicides among young gay people have had lots of these crying-cons, and that was, specifically, my motivation to use the word 'dignified'.

So, I meant well, but understand how small it sounds now. Thanks fnord the laughs. RT
