Along with hanging around the Koch Brothers lately
didn;t Scalia and Thomas help give W the election back in the day???

I wonder if the Kochs were in on that, too....

1. What I can't understand
is why they are not under investigation. Isn't it illegal, per the Hatch, for government employees (and that's what they are) to get involved in supporting political organizations. That's why I can't understand about Thomas' wife.

These republicans are flaunting the law because they know this administration especially the DOJ won't do anything. They are too busy running around trying to stop gays from joining the army. They don't have time to do legal stuff and real lawbreakers.

5. The problem is, it's hard to show anything illegal is going on.
Disclaimer: I'm not defending those SOBs, they are corrupt. The problem is proving anything.

The Koch brothers have a gathering, -- a party, a retreat, whatever you want to call it, it's protected by the First Amendment. Justices are allowed to go to parties, held by whomever, and they give speeches and lectures for the same guy, whomever. Usually, justices OTSC show more propriety in their associations. But legally, I see it as no more than raising an eyebrow.

Is there anything new here besides that they are more blatant?

2. This quote says it all for me...
http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/waiting_for_another_watergate_20101019

snip//

What is the most powerful political operation in the country in this 21st century? It's the United States Supreme Court. The men and women in black are on their way to deciding their second national election in just the first decade of the century.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the kochs were waist deep in this back then.

8. I agree.
Mention of that name, Koch Brothers, in regards to politics on some comment boards will get your post deleted.

9. it isn't really a secret
http://www.koch2congress.com/

It's a language thing for me. I tend to think of myself and my family as THE Kochs. It would be nice if those other people were not dragging my name through the mud. Maybe if they changed their name to Koke to better match the way they pronounce it.
