Fundie Winger Phil (Waiting for Superman) Anschutz's "Philanthropies"
Edited on Thu Oct-21-10 05:18 PM by Hannah Bell
One of the key players in the distribution of Waiting for 'Superman' is Walden Media, a film company owned by Philip Anschutz. Barbara Miner touches on him (and many other players) in her recent article, but I've yet to see anyone look at how Anschutz uses his family's foundation to push a conservative/libertarian agenda.

8. I think they are in the phase of... "if they ignore it, it will go away."
It has become clear that their arguments are extraordinarily weak.

21. Then I guess we have to boycott Chronicles of Narnia, Nim's Island,
Charlotte's Web, and all of the other family movies they have distributed.

It's just a DISTRIBUTOR, they have nothing to do with the content.
