Pssst... Rick Snyder is a RINO, pass it on
I plan to vote for Democrat Virg Bernero for Michigan governor and I really hope the polls are wrong and Virg wins.

Rick Snyder, the Republican candidate is a wealthy dilettante who has no idea what he is getting into. And it is hard to trust ANY Republican, especially one who is a former CEO who helped outsource jobs when as a corporate director.

However, even if he wins, Snyder represents a defeat for the nutballs. He is not a tea-hadist. And he was endorsed by former Republican Gov. William G. Milliken, who endorsed John Kerry for president and defended Obama when McCain's attacks became especially nasty. Milliken is a true elder statesman and one of the few Republicans I genuinely respect.

Winning Milliken's support means that, to Freepers and tea-hadists, Snyder is a Republican in name only -- a RINO. A RINO is not as good as a Democrat, but far better than the kind of tea-bagging, Palin-loving, birther nut who could have been nominated.

1. I agree.
While I would be thrilled if Virg won, realistically it doesn't look very likely.

IMO, the next best thing is a Republican that Right to Life of Michigan was willing to trash before the primary.

And yes, the Teabaggers will hate him, so that should be fun to watch -- as Roseanne once said on her sitcom, "I love it when Republicans eat their young."

2. Yes he is
His success is becuase of his ability to attract independents and some Democrats. I can't understand why any Dem would vote for Snyder. He may not be a tea party candidate but he's a corporate one. It won't be long before he starts selling off parts of MI (roads, lottery, Mackinaw bridge) to the highest bidder. He's campaigning on eliminating jobs from our state (ending film incentives) and pledging to cut taxes for his corporate buddies. Snyder isn't a "Palin-loving, birther nut" but the damage he will do will be extensive.
