Ol' Mitch don't like the French none a'tall.

- - -

"What we can fairly conclude, even before the votes are counted on November 2, is that America is not interested in becoming France."

-- Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY),
quoted by CNN, accusing the Obama administration of "trying to turn us into
a Western European country as rapidly as they can."

- - -

For any French citizens who happen to lurking hereabouts, this U.S. citizen would be more than happy to see his country become quite a bit more like France and other Western European nations.

You people rock.

4. Given his tragic lack of lips, I suspect he's agin' all kissin',
if only out of jealousy.

5. I'd much rather duplicate what the French have than
anything the repuplican'ts have come up with. Oh wait, the republican'ts have nothing to offer.

8. I think you're right on all counts.
Mitch is a master at doing absolutely nothing when many good things are available to try.

7. Mitch - get back on the ranch !!
You are supposed to be telling everyone Obama and his terrorist pals want to take away all our freedoms and turn us all into fundie Muslims with Sharia law.

The line about horrible Obama wanting to make us all into secularists who have a comfortable lifestyle, obtain medical care when we need it and can retire early enough to enjoy a little is SOOOOOOO last January.

Get with the program bud.

9. I like France..i have inlaws there. There are many things I don't like about it, as well.
Just like most places. But i do admire their culture and i love the fact that the people there have solidarity against the ruling elite.

10. I hear you on all counts. I'm just one U.S. guy, but
it embarrassed me very much when Cheney and Bush held the French up to ridicule.

Instead, they should have welcomed them to conferences and summits, with an open mind and heart about an exchange of good ideas (for which France would very likely hold the higher cards!)
