Just a small observation...
When I come upon a car with a peace sign bumper sticker, I always look for political bumper stickers. If they have any - they are ALWAYS democratic, or progressive interests like doctors without borders, MOVE-ON, ACLU, Habitat for humanity, etc. But I have NEVER - EVER - seen a car with a peace symbol or any other humanistic causes with also republican or war bumper stickers.

Why is that?

3. Best I can do for you.
Mine.

Not pro-war, but military.

I suppose there are still pacifist Republicans somewhere, but why would you expect to see a peace sign and pro-war bumpersticker on the same vehicle? They are kind of exclusionary.

4. While out canvassing for Obama
I saw a new green VW bug with a COEXIST bumper sticker next to a McCain-Palin sticker. That's pretty rare.

8. Maybe COEXIST was a plea directed at the Palin and McCain camps
At least that actually would make sense.

5. The peace sign is not a conservative symbol.
I learned in the sixth grade that the peace sign is a broken cross and antiChristian. Not true, but par for the course for RepubliCons.

6. somewhere in the reaches of my memory
I was told that the one that desires peace the most is the military.

Due to the fact that they are the ones that have to play the stupid game of kill you/kill me for some shit a civilian wants.

Well, I would have to agree with that sentiment.

Peace

9. Probably this...
The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.
