Poll question: 2010 Midterms outcome poll: What do you think will happen?
Inquiring minds want to know: what do you think will be the results of the elections in ten days time? This is NOT intended as a measurement of what you're hoping for, but what you expect to happen. I'm sure all good DUers would hope that between now and then the Republican candidates will all decide to jump off a bridge together, but it probably won't happen.

1. Other.....
..I believe a bunch of politicians will be elected or re-elected, and we will continue to get screwed because they don't give a flying fuck about us, it's all about them and their money. Elections aren't for the people, they are used to make politicians rich.
The people just select which ones get the opportunity this time. Until we take the money out of politics, it will continue to be like this. We need term limits. No politician should be in congress more than six years. They should have to take a six year break to be eleigible again.
Some will argue that the experience of office is needed to run a country. Bullshit. Honesty, compassion and intelligence is all that is needed, yet those seem to be the least required from today's politicans, with the exception of a few.

5. Huh?
She said she would be speaker in February and that 40-some seats was too large a gap for the republicans to overcome.

8. Actually, both statements are backwards.
She was very explicit that the Dems would hold a majority, but she was surprisingly evasive on whether or not she'd be the speaker next year. I found it strange, and wondered whether it indicated that she was thinking about passing the torch.

10. The whole interview was an uncomfortable mix of evasive and rah rah troops.
She's one of my favorites, and she did not sound like herself.

11. She tried to lean way too heavily on platitudes and soundbytes.
That's understandable if you're doing Good Morning Austin as your 9th interview by satellite that day, hitting a group of people who probably have no idea what the Democratic message is. It's the wrong tack for Countdown.

3. The shift to Dems is ongoing thanks to the bizzare Baggers and GOPers stupid comments/plans
Boner was a key to the shift when he said he would continue Bushies policies of extending tas cuts for the mega rich

COD cost the Pubs the SENATE when she was exposed as an airhead....

6. The Democrats will lose the House and keep the Senate.
I'm not sure what poll option that is.

9. Keeping the Senate is a foregone conclusion.
So I ignored it.
