Karma can be a bitch…
Right after posting about how much better I was doing, about how exercise and diet were making my life easier than it was before, the proverbial other shoe hit the floor.

Friday night was wonderful. All the stuff I was able to do with my nephew and his significant other, otherwise known as El and Margaret, made me hope, for a moment or two, that I had stabilized and that good things were coming my way.

But Saturday morning came and I was exhausted from all the excitement. All I could think about was the tickets we had to see a couple of folk singers, Mindy Smith and Pieta Brown, down and over at Kent State, about an hour’s drive from here, on Saturday night.

1. Life can be so unfair sometimes...
And you've had way too many moments like this ...

As always, riveting reading.

Feel better, dammit!

Thank you, Chris...

2. I wouldn't call that karma
Mostly that you are feeling so much better so you are over doing. This miracle of a lung transplant is mercy. My advice? Don't abuse it.

3. Me to you, WCGreen...
(imitating Ms. Bigmack's voice)

"Now you KNOW you shouldn't be overdoing it! Why can't you just take it easy?... for once. You've had surgery, for Crissakes! Didn't they tell you there would be good days and bad days? Yes.. they did. Bitch.... nag... nag... bitch..."

Seriously, take it easy. I know the temptation is to grab life by the balls.. you've been given a new life, might as well live it, eh?

But all that chopping on your body, and all that poison they put into you to knock you out, takes time to heal and get over. Months, at least.
Better day tomorrow... or Tuesday. Whatever.

Hang tough.
