Uganda, the Iran of the Christian World?

Several people have been attacked in Uganda after a local newspaper published their names and photos, saying they were homosexual, an activist has told the BBC.

Frank Mugisha said one woman was almost killed after her neighbours started throwing stones at her house.

He said most of those whose names appeared in Uganda's Rolling Stone paper had been harassed.

It gets worse, Nsaba Buturo, the so called "Ethics and Integrity Minister", has said gay activists are "always lying. It’s their way of mobilizing support from the outside. They are trying to get sympathy from the outside.” He also went on to say that he is still determined to pass his anti-gay legislation that earned him World-wide condemnation.

The more that Country institutionalises homophobia the more of a pariah it should become. Those politicians and Church leaders supporting this need to be shamed.
