AMAZING: Former Democratic Senator is a closet Neocon after all!

:sarcasm: I already knew this

Bob Kerry tells us his sick fantasies of imposing democracy through military force.

The Left's Iraq Muddle

BY BOB KERREY
With these facts on the scales, what does your conscience tell you to do? If the answer is nothing, that it is not our responsibility or that this is all about oil, then no wonder today we Democrats are not trusted with the reins of power. American lawmakers who are watching public opinion tell them to move away from Iraq as quickly as possible should remember this: Concessions will not work with either al Qaeda or other foreign fighters who will not rest until they have killed or driven into exile the last remaining Iraqi who favors democracy.

This does not mean that Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11; he was not. Nor does it mean that the war to overthrow him was justified--though I believe it was. It only means that a unilateral withdrawal from Iraq would hand Osama bin Laden a substantial psychological victory.

Mr. Kerrey, a former Democratic senator from Nebraska and member of the 9/11 Commission

1. I'm never surprised at the people who actually support
Bush's actions in Iraq...even as they cloak it in self-protecting language that other people can choose to hear in an equally self-protecting manner.

Primary reason Bush Inc won't be held accountable.

3. The 9/11 Commission was appointed by Bush
was it not? I heard the arguments then from the "sensible" democrats on the message boards back then. They were talking about how this commission wuld get to the bottom of things and how this person was good and that person was good to put on the Commision.

Then we saw the white-wash that was the testimony and all of the concession the Commission gave to the WH in exchange for their bullshit testimony.

To not acknowledge that there are Bush-enabling moles in our party is to ignore the biggest elephant in the room at our own peril and the peril of our children. As long as we ignore their indiscretions and give them blind support because of a "D" by their name, there is NO WAY that this paradigm will change. They will undermine the party from within and continue to stone-wall the left from having any kind of power.

As long as the moles are in the party, the party has no power....change will not happen, and Bush's fantasy of Republican rule and world dominance under a fascist government will materialize.

And we will all suffer and die miserably in such a world. Sooner or later.

5. People who idolize Bob 'we shot up a village of women, old people, and
babies and I hid that fact for decades and only told the truth when I was about to be outed' Kerrey just make me laugh.

10. I notice he got the hell out of Nebraska--
wonder why he was making noise recently about running for Hagel's seat (only if Hagel retires, though)? Is there a groundswell of love here for him that I wasn't aware of?

11. Hell yeah, these old farmer's love their 'war hero' cripple civilian killer.
You live here in Red Neck Central. I'm sure I don't have to explain the rules to you. Don't you have to struggle here day after day to keep yourself from grabbing some ignorant asshole by the shirt collars and shaking them until their little pea sized brain falls out their ear canal? Don't you ever wonder how half these clowns haven't hung themselves tying their tennis shoes? Haven't you ever been tempted to ask why these people are soooo damn willing to let the Union Pacific, ConAgra, Cargill, and all these major corporations skate from paying taxes and yet we pay some of the highest state taxes in the country?

In fact, I bet you wonder, like I do, what the hell am I doing here. And if I had a place to go, and if my Mom wasn't failing so fast now, I'd be gone.

13. LOL! I won't be here for much longer. We're a military family. Sorry
about your mom, BTW. But yes, I get aggravated. I work with mostly rural blue-collar men, who bitch and gripe about Bush but will vote knee-jerk Republican every goddamn time, because that's the way it's done here, no matter how much they get screwed--they ain't gonna vote for no pussy Democrat (unless it's closet-Republican Dems)! Ugh.

14. Thanks about Mom. I think that after she goes, I'll probably be moving
along. I NEVER wanted to die here. Living here is bad enough.

9. Remember, many of the original neocons were disillusioned Democrats.
Remember Henry "Scoop" Jackson, former senator (D-Washington). One of the original neocons. Neoconservatism runs across both parties, sad to say.
