The idiocy of election reporting
"Whitman has also tried to soften her image in recent days by making impromptu appearances at diners, though she may have undercut her own message at one eatery by cutting a chili dog into quarters and eating it with a fork, pinkie up."

There is one more face-to-face between Brown & Whitman

"Brown has mapped out a relatively light schedule until the final few days, when he will embark on a statewide tour. But one potential bump in the road could come as early as Tuesday, when the two candidates meet face-to-face on stage at the Women's Conference, hosted by Maria Shriver.

It is the kind of confrontation that could provide what Whitman desperately needs, and what Brown's team is anticipating with dread: the potential for a game-changing gaffe."

I think Brown will be able to handle it.
