5. Pointed out that Blackwater is now guarding the
US ambassador in Afghanistan when they had committed crimes in Iraq - spoke about Rummy et al sanctioning death squads while themselves killing and torturing Iraqis - said the surge was a myth...and much more.

Considering what is known, is there any way this country can continue to ignore the crimes committed against humanity?

In one of the videos I saw, Gen. Pace responded to a question about what the troops should do if they saw abuse. He said they should stop it. Rumsfeld interrupts him, corrects him by saying 'they should report it'. We know now that those reports were ignored.

As of now, the U.S. supports torture in violation of domestic and international law.

And most of those tortured were innocent people. At the very least, the DOJ and the WH has to stop blocking lawsuits by victims under the pretext that it would harm national security. That is simply unacceptable.
