"Rachel Maddow Awarded the Walter Cronkite Faith & Freedom Award"
I think of her as the Cronkite of our time ..... very deserved.

Rachel Maddow Awarded the Walter Cronkite Faith & Freedom Award

MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow was among the recipients of the Walter Cronkite Faith and Freedom Award from the Interfaith Alliance. Maddow was honored for her “passionate coverage of the intersection of religion and politics.” Maddow spoke of faith, politics, and challenging extremism at the event on Sunday.

She should be the recipient of every single award ever given for journalism, ever. She brings more to the Tee Vee Machine’s vast wasteland of ”news” than nearly anyone else.

And yes, I am a shameless fangirl. And I don’t care who knows it. So there.

Personally, I believe her over any other reporter around. She's like Cronkite in that way.

2. Very well deserved
I love that new commercial on MSNBC on what goes into putting that show on each day. She's wicked smart, so I imagine she expects the same from her staff. But I bet she's a good boss and fun to work with. Yeah, I'm another fangirl.

4. "And that's the way it is"
Cronkite was the last who could honestly sign off that way, doing his best to understand and report on how things worked, and Rachel Maddow is now going one step even deeper into the mechanics and gamings and objectives of the Powers That Be. K&R

7. The only thing that diminishes that award is that it was given to Couric
a year or two ago, while Walter was still alive. My feeling is Katie got it to prop her up as there anchor news reader, because I have never seen her do anything to deserve such an award. At the time, Walter must have thrown up in his mouth a little bit.

Rachel is only about 1000 times the news person that Couric is, so it should be given t the achievers like Rachel, and not the Couric's of the news reader world.

8. She's a good one, she is.
One either likes to deal in facts, or one does not like it very much at all.
