Meg Whitman coy on ending spending

By ANDY BARR | 10/26/10 8:19 AM EDT Updated: 10/26/10 8:33 AM EDT

Meg Whitman may call it quits at $141.6 million.

The California Republican gubernatorial candidate said Monday she hasn't decided whether she'll pour more of her own money into the record-setting campaign. The billionaire former eBay CEO still trails Democrat Jerry Brown in most polls.

ABC’s World News anchor Diane Sawyer asked repeatedly if Whitman intends to dip deeper into her own pockets, with Whitman dodging every time.

“You know, there’s only a week left,” Whitman said. “I think we’ve done everything we can.”

Asked if that means she won’t spend anymore, Whitman responded: “I’m meeting and greeting the voters.”

1. As nutty as the Tea Partiers are (not that I know whether Meg Whitman is one), it is nice

to see the GOP fielding more women.

Hopefully they won't have to be bat-shit crazy after this election cycle.

2. If Meg really does some Meet and Greets, it can only help Brown.
She was correct when she said that no one liked her.

3. Ironically she would be doing better if she hadn't bombarded us with ads
She does not wear well, very negative vibe.

And she's offering a rehash of the "run Kuhleefohnia like a business" bullshit that has worked so well for us the past few years.

6. That woman needs a better hair stylist. I have straight hair like hers.
It's hard to work with, I know. But a good cut makes all the difference in the world. I guess she's spent all her money on attack ads and can't afford a $75 haircut.
