Rand Paul Volunteer ordered to court.. Blames Police for attack..

http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/world/50546956-68/paul-campaign-profitt-face.html.csp

Lexington Division of Police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said Tuesday that officers will deliver a summons to Profitt to appear in court. A judge will determine whether to proceed with an assault case.

Profitt said the fight never would have occurred if police officers had intervened earlier.

“A friend of mine went up to three policeman before Rand got there, and told them about the girl who was standing there with that wig on and that she was getting ready to do something,” Profitt said. “The policemen looked at him and said that’s not our job.”

At least one of the Paul people said in the article that whatever happened a man being violent towards women should never be tolerated... But I notice that was after a day of Spin Doctoring didn't work.. here's the quote:

“We can disagree on issues, and I don’t know what preceded the incident, but physical violence by a man against a woman must never be tolerated,” Conway said in a statement. “It is my hope that steps have been taken to ensure this kind of thuggish behavior never happens again in this campaign.”

1. "Getting ready to do something"???
You can't arrest someone for that, you fucking dumbasses. So instead you commit assault and battery, huh? God, I hate these brownshirt repukes.

8. Trying to keep things positive
although I can not and have not been able to do that in years. I hope that the majority of Americans still have some functioning grey matter and will see these Tea Baggers for what they are - a National threat.

Perhaps those who are laboring to feed their families and are consumed with just trying to keep their shit together will see this - if the press makes it as important as say a bj. Maybe these bastards will just have to go back to playing war games in the woods and starting militia's. Then at least the Feds can take it from there.

"you don't want to see me angry!"

So therefore all people with opposing views should get out of their line of sight.

4. Tell me if I'm missing something here, but the Rand Stomper
incident appears to me to be overt fascism.

That is, the impulse to support a frame of social and political reference which demands subjugation of individual expression and strict adherence to authoritarian control, a willfulness imposed if necessary by thuggery and violence.

Violence like that does happen, but it raises the question of just how insecure a guy has to be to stomp on a woman's head while she's down, and then blame the assault on a bad back.

If I didn't like Rand Paul and his supporters before this week, I'm sure liking them a whole lot less now.

27. Man they tried every which way to spin this
Cops, bad back, she was dangerous, both sides do it. Blah Blah Blah, I saw a post on YouTube today that said "the bitch deserved it". Just total lunacy. Now all of a sudden the guy is fired and going to court, and the staff is doing press releases trying to save any chance he has of being elected. If he ever had a chance to begin with.

Between this kind of crap and the nut job from Texas who wants to have a violent overthrow if he loses, you have to wonder what they think "America" is. They keep saying they want their country back but I can't seem to find the America where we violently overthrow our legally elected Democratic government.

32. Hi, walldude. Yes. The scent of anti-government wafts
off the Baggers in a powerful stench. They are "angry," and that's about it. They're too ignorant of the history of the republic to understand what they are angry at, and not perceptive or self-analystical enough to realize that ignorance and anger don't constitute good citizenship.

And anybody who disagrees with them should be shoved down and stomped upon.

It's also been lost on a lot of these Bagger - stomper types that Kentucky was the birthplace of Abramham Lincoln and that the Republican Party there in Kentucky is attracting people Lincoln would have likely jailed.

34. They bought the Reagan lie that hard work gained one great wealth and that
tax cuts for the top 2% created jobs, then found out they worked harder for less pay meaning that promised wealth dream was becoming unobtainable to them in their old age so they are angry. Problem is their ego's stop them from seeing personal greed caused their problems so it was an outside problem caused by those damn liberals like Reagan said, after all wasn't it the evil liberals what Reagan saved them from in the 80's. Never mind little things like facts that show conservative conservative government as the real cause of the problems folks faced in the late 70's.

36. Greed does seem to be at the heart of many of those
hyperconservatives' difficulties with reality, even to the point where they would advance their own interests on the backs of the mostly voiceless.

I'd like to see the Democratic Party slather it on a lot thicker your point on why tax cuts and special allowances for the top 2% don't create jobs, just more class disparity.

What a grim and grisly time it was with Ronald Reagan in the White House. A handsome man and former movie star turned Ugly American.

19. I remain too frightened by that country so-referenced
from the 1930s. I can't even put a diplomatic substitute word on it -- it still adds up to 'frightened.'

The boot in the Rand footage did appear to me to have a distinct 1930s vintage.

24. Every suspicion progressive may have harbored about
Rand Paul's long-term goals seems valid after an incident like this.

I'm hoping there are enough Kentucky voters who will be repelled by this and who will support Conway, despite any disagreement with Democratic candidates, just as a hard rejection of the way Paul's supporters respond to dissent.

26. It is not Rand
It is the movement. Remember who is funding this.

What does the Koch family have in common with the right wing?

They were involved in the 1933 attempted coup, dad founded the John Birch Society and the kids are behind the tea party. We have never dealt with our extremely well connected fascists...

30. I don't doubt for a moment that the organization is
long-standing and likely very tightly controlled, including the secrecy component, and that the results are manifest in local, state, and federal politics. I don't claim to clinically know that Rand Paul knows who is mobilizing in his behalf but then again I didn't hear his strong voice vehemently denouncing what happened to this one woman.

I am also not hearing a whole lot of fundamentalist Christian churches in Kentucky issuing statements denouncing violence against others. The cat seems to have got their tongue. Seems as if there is a key passage in the New Testament about violence visited upon an innocent man.

The sordid origins of Bagger money, indeed.

43. The "B" girl's only victim was... herself. Since she didn't specifically ID an attacker other than

"some Black guys" when she was making her false statements, there's not much of a case. If she had actually pressed false charges on someone she'd have been in hot water.

This was one of the worst I've ever heard. Maybe the victim will decide to press charges just on complete lack of sincerity.

I also wonder about the people who stood idly by while the assault was in progress. Are they guilty of a crime or just guilty of being dirtbags in general?

40. This was not a "fight", Tim. A fight happens when both parties are swinging. This was a beating.

Paul himself has said before that he doesn't condone violence... at the Oathkeeper rally, as a matter of fact. But he didn't call out any of the other speakers who did make the sort of dog-whistle metaphors that motivate guys like Profitt and Pezzano to do such terrible things. I have to say that RP is ultimately responsible here because Profitt and Pezzano were working for his organization (don't know if they were volunteers or on the payroll). Its what he gets for courting the "jackboot" vote. He should have warned people in his organization not to use violence.

Also, the woman wasn't really doing anything wrong, so there was nothing for the cops to "step in" to handle. The police are there to protect the candidates and attendees from violence, not to protect them from protesters, or to protect them from looking stupid. These idiots wanted to protect RP from being made a fool of, but ultimately they made fools of Paul and themselves to a greater magnitude than if the protester had interacted with Paul.
