It looks like nixon's southern strategy worked. The country has shifted to the right, and it
doesn't look like it will change anytime soon
Even though most of the problems we are experiencing today can be laid at the feet of the republicans, it seems that the populous want more of the same
I hope they enjoy the social security and medicare privatized, along with more of their jobs off shored
2. Keep in mind always that the right wing in America is mostly made up of older white people
from the boonies. That population is not the most dynamic in the country. It's a matter of time before it will shrink to the point where you'll be able to drown it in a bathtub.
6. The nation has lost its will to do what is good for the collective citizenry.
We have become firmly ensconced in camps which refuse to create constructive solutions to our nation's problems. Neither side owns the solutions or the truth. It would be interesting to see what solutions could be formulated based on approaches from both sides. There is solid ground somewhere between the two.
