People influenced by polls

Do you know anyone who's staying home or votes for who the polls say will win? Are people more likely to vote if the polls say it's close?

3. The MSM has been spouting how the pubs are going
to win everything this election. If this is taken as fact, maybe people will stay home thinking their vote won't matter in a runaway. It does work.

with our Senate race. Lisa Murkowski is essentially basing her entire campaign on "Scott McAdams is down in the polls, he can't win, voting for me is the only way you can stop crazy Joe Miller." It's bullshit, of course, since the race seems to be essentially a dead heat between the three, with Joe Miller falling, Lisa taking some hits (especially with the ruling this morning that write-in lists can't be provided at the polling stations), and Scott floating above the fray and picking up new supporters every day.

Scott's new campaign slogan is "Vote your values, not your fears."
