CREDO/Working Assets custoner? Ask their action team to help save Social Security and Medicare
As you are reading this, a commission charged with reducing the deficit is meeting in total secrecy. It is stacked with people who have spent many years attacking Social Security and Medicare. They will not reveal their recommend-ations until after the 2010 November election. The lame duck Congress will then be charged with voting on them with no further discussion allowed.

Please send a message to Credo Action at info@credoaction.com and ask them to consider making opposition to the Deficit Reduction Commission one of their December causes. Their bills reach nearly a million people with an offer of free minutes for activist calls.

5. And they are lying and claiming SS has something to do with
the deficit. There should be an all-out French style revolution if they even try to do what we know they will IF the WH allows them.

Didn't Obama state that they will not be 'cutting benefits' after people became concerned about it? But he never mentioned raising the retirement age.

The problem is people don't really understand how SS works and many people just hear the soundbites 'oh, it won't be there when I'm old enough to collect it'.

Our media really stinks. They could spend time on these issues, presenting facts to the people instead of the wasted space given to what Paris Hilton is doing today or whoever is the blond distraction of the week.

They will prey on the fact that people are easily scared. And if this administration and the Democrats allow them to get away with it, that will be the end of the party as far as I, and I think a lot of others, am concerned.

Once they put this off until after the election, the writing was on the wall. They really do think we are stupid as well as powerless.

:kick:
