I want to share a conversation I had with my beautiful daughter last night.

She has become a complete Progressive, faithfully watches KO and Rachel, will vote straight Democratic ticket next Tuesday (I don't know if she posts here, but after this I probably will). Remembers me talking about Lawrence O'Donnell in the Clinton administration and Joe Conason from when I first got The Hunting of the President back when she was little and I would read from it to her, talk about how the Republicans destroyed the country in their effort to get Clinton out of office, JUST like they will to Obama if they win the House next week.


She made a GREAT point during KO's show:

"Dad, when I get to your age, I'll look back on these days and wonder why we ever made it so difficult for Gays to marry just like you must look back at how people tried to prevent interracial marriages in the 50's and 60's and they wouldn't accept African-Americans as equals".

I loves her. I never looked at it that way, but she's right. And I hope it doesn't take as long.
