I live around many retired people and some of the old fellas are losing their marbles over the politics. They sit around watching and listening to RW media all day and night and they are pissed off all the time. Had one old guy try to push a shopping cart into my car once with his truck (thank goodness for those wonky wheels) and another "bumped" his car into mine from the back.
These are fellas that place huge orders at the RW bumper sticker store.
Old guys sometimes are on drugs to begin with, some have dementia and then you throw in the political stuff and they are powder kegs looking to make a last stand!
It is getting scary out here.

22. This is an atrocity. This is what RW radio turned a generation of listeners into.

Add the ugliness of the McCain/Palin campaign in 2008 along with the rise of the Teabaggers and what you've got is a dangerous stew of civil unrest and political violence. One could think that modernity gives all Americans the time and the space to reflect upon not repeating the past. That history of our nation was one born in racism, conquest and bloodshed. It would be a pipe dream to have civility from shore to shore. However, the real truth is that the harshness and ruthlessness of RW brutality is coming with the speed of a bullet train. After all, the Right is buoyed by recreating the dream that started this country in revolutionary excess. To achieve that twisted end, brutalizing the opposition is the harkening of things to come if we don't put an end to it.

It makes me sick to my stomach to know that one cannot fully express him or herself politically without getting beaten down in this country. It is like the first days after September 11th all over again. WTH is wrong with people? It's like respect is a thing of the past in this country. :(
